Let me tell you why I created this site.
I have traveled through many landscapes, met many people, and lived through countless moments, both abroad and in Japan.
At times there were deep conversations, and at times only a passing encounter. It was not only with people but also with places, objects, and single moments.
Every single one was a precious fragment for me, and I wished to record them so they would not fade away.
It was while I was walking across Portugal, heading toward Spain, that this feeling began to take form.
Without noticing, I had already walked over 300 kilometers on my own. Along the endless path, I poured out a lifetime of monologue. I was not talking to others but only to myself. Eventually, I became a friend to myself.
That experience showed me that if I only collect events, they remain nothing more than scattered points.
But when I place them along the axis of myself, the scattered points connect into a line and start to form a story.
It was like the dots of the night sky, which take the shape of constellations when viewed by human eyes.
Road of Nostalgia

When the walking was over, I spent a season in Canada.
During those quiet days, I encountered a formula.
It was Euler’s formula.

The moment I encountered that one line, praised as beauty beyond mathematics, my heart trembled deep within.
Five symbols of entirely different character unite in perfect harmony.
It was like the scenes I had seen, the people and objects I had met, and even my inner voice were suddenly tied together by strange lines.
However, there is something strange.
I always note the source when inspiration comes, yet with Euler’s formula I cannot recall where I first encountered it.
All I had written down was “there is Euler’s formula,” with no memory of the first encounter itself.
It was as though the formula had been inside me all along, waiting for the moment it would finally appear before me.
The Maple by the Harbor

Finding friendship with myself on the road in Portugal.
Discovering the formula in Canada with astonishment.
These two experiences came together as the foundation of this site.
People, places, objects, experiences, and the stirrings of the heart.
Each one may stand apart, but once gathered here they will come together to form a beautiful harmony.
This first article of ‘e = energy ’ is meant to mark that beginning.
Walking step by step, I came to know myself, was struck with wonder at the formula, and all of it brought me here.
This is how the story of Euler begins.
